FACES studio, Mexico City

FACES is designed as an intimate and comfortable retreat, with 2 recording spaces and a spacious garden for breaks and creative reset. 

The control room is constructed ergonomically to facilitate easily exploring new ideas. It is ideal for working 1-1 during writing/arrangement/production/mixing sessions, sound design, mixing and production, but it is also big enough for recording a full band. With heavy sound treatment and lots of quick access to gear, this space is perfect for diving deep into the recording process.

The live room is large enough for recording a full band and can also fit an audience to do live recordings and/or a camera crew to film video content. The live room is comfortable and relaxed, a great place for a band to spend a day recording an album, or to get a group together to write in comfort.

The garden is large and full of flowers, offering the chance to break and get some sun and fresh air between concentrated sessions in the space.

The selection of gear reflects my desire to mix the wild and infinite world of digital production with the ease and flow of analog recording. Analog synths, advanced midi controllers and modern plug-ins, vintage tube amps, and high-fidelity condenser and ribbon mics all cohabitate.
